I’ve been looking out patterns for knitting cushions – it’s not something I have personally had any experience of but some friends have wives who are proud members of our local womens’ institute n there is currently a massive swing at grass roots level for everybody to be busy and not have hours of spare time on our hands.  We must be busy, busy, busy.   This  happy state of affairs will thus stop many folk – women possibly, from feeling utterly devastated when they are furloughed or have t self isolate at home temporarily.  So one idea came to mind when we were at home and watching tv – one of the cottages featured had the most wonderful set of home knitted and embroidered cushion covers.    They were presented in a range of luscious colours that exactly matched the soft furnishings in each of the rooms.   One particular design was repeated a few times and it tied the whole together as a most beautiful and elegant feature.
