Cosy Sock & Scarf Yarn Needed For Freezing Excursions

There’s definitely something cosy about curling up on a large sofa with a hobby.  My family all concentrate their ‘making’ roojects in the winter months.  Spring an summer are rather too hot these days – it’s nearly impossible to knit with hot sticky hands.  For some reason the urge to create seems to desert us for a few weeks.  But come September we’re there, searching through the winter clothing storage, checking out what still fits and what needs a gentle move on to the big charity shops.   We all like hand knitted socks and this year we’ll be using them to full advantasge as we’re going cruising to see the aurora borealis – freezing cold night and day when prome3nading the decks on board a cruise ship. On the land based excursions, it will be even colder and home made socks with a large percentage of real wool will be perfect for the socks.  Cosy feet are essential.  Matching cosy scarves too of course.
