Decorating A Victorian Band Stand With Yarn Bombs

I have been known to have a go at anything and everything.  If someone wants me to learn crochet or afghan stitchwork, then I’m game.  I have doen knitting for many years and find it totally relaxing – especially of an evening in front of the tv or listening to an audio book.  I’ve recently been involved in two yarn bombing projects in our local market town which just happens to have a very well known river with a supremely attractive embankment area on either side.  In fact the river setting is just about the only thing that the town can boast these days.  The band stand is often used in the promotional shots.  The local ladies’ social groups got together to yarn bomb it with various knitted items to celebrate the Jubilee.  They got involved again for the River Festival itself which was being held for the first time since the original lockdowns a few years ago.  This time the colour scheme is white, green and purple.  At the last count there was plenty of items to be attached to the structure.  Say Cheese everyone!
