There is one area of online surfing and buying that really annoys me these days. It’s the rather cynical dynamic pricing trap. I had this very experience recently when shopping around for air fares to the States. I looked for the firs time this year and the route I wanted on the right dates for me was around £450 round trip – without seat selection or hold baggage. However once I’d got the ok from my host family that my chosen weeks suited them also, I found the round trip price had actually doubled. I realised that I’d not been cautious enough. I should have cleared my browsing history and particularly all cookies. apparently it’s a good idea to log out of accounts like google, facebook and the many others. this next one I’ve never tried – switching to incognito mode, and I’ve never taken advantage of any online anonymous browsing facility either. I so wish I’d known about these sooner.
